Scholarships and Grants
After the NAC SOYF was established, the Foundation has sponsored scholarships for graduating high school seniors in South Hampton Roads who have excelled academically, and plan to further their education. An applicant’s academic standing, demonstrated leadership ability, and community service participation are considered in the selection process. The Foundation has also awarded a variety of educational and mentoring grants to assist students in achieving their educational goals.

Letters of Appreciation

The next week my mom’s job encourage her to take a position in the City and within a month or so we were in our New York City apartment. My mom loves her job. They teach Ballet, Horton, Graham and Dance history along with regular academics. After school 5-6 days a week I go to “Step on Broadway” and take an additional Ballet Class. When I go home I study 2-3 hours then to bed.
On the weekends I sometimes go to MA and dance there. I am about to do a completion, the first in about 3 years. I will also do a workshop (wish me luck). I also wanted to let you know that my time in Complexions went extremely well, body did I learn a lot from my classes there. I really learned to come out of my shell. They taught us dance from within. Please share this note with the rest of your peers and please let them know that I would love to dance for them again. Thank you again for the opportunity you gave me.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to the Scholarship committee in selecting me as one of the scholarship recipients.
I will be attending Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) this fall. This scholarship will be of great assistance to me in my goal of attaining a college degree in Music Business.
I really appreciate your generous scholarship support. It will help me greatly by allowing me to concentrate more on schoolwork without having to worry about finances. It is wonderful to know that there are people like those in the Norfolk (VA) Alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity who support a student’s effort to excel. Again, thank you for your generosity.
